Special Shows coming up:

** BIG SHOW COMING **
Saturday, March 1, 2008 - The Lamont Cranston Band

Yes, the legendary Lamont Cranston are coming back to Rockford. The last time the band actually played in Rockford was way back in the Blues West days, years ago. If you haven't heard of these guys over the last 35+ years, you've been hiding under a rock. The band has played with The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, The Blues Brothers, Muddy Waters, and just about everybody else. Good friend Dan Aykroyd aka Elwood Blues, always calls on the band to open any new House Of Blues around the country whenever needed. The band comes to town for Rockford's own "Upper Mississippi Shakedown".

"No one infects venues with the party virus quite like Pat Hayes and The Lamont Cranston Blues Band. They've always been my favorite." - Elwood Blues aka Dan Aykroyd.

Friday, February 1, 2008 - Roy Dawson & The Bootleggers
* COUNTRY NIGHT *

Fresh Country on the scene. The band was founded in June, 2007 by Roy Dawson. Great mix of old and new country and a blend of the distinct personalities involved. The band consists of five seasoned artists, joined together by their respect for each others talent as well as a love for country music.

Saturday, February 2, 2008 - MARDI GRAS PARTY with The Swamp Kings

Cajun Boogie and Swamp Blues. This band is quickly gaining popularity on Minnesota's live music scene with their upbeat and energetic performances. The Swamp Kings style is rhythmic, energetic and raw blending Cajun, Soul, Boogie and Swamp Blues. Their music is made for dancing. Come out and join the Mardi Gras Party fun with your favorite brew, beads and more.

Friday/Saturday, February 8-9, 2008 - That 70's Band

Twin Cities based Classic Rock & Variety Band. They will play all of your favorites by The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, The Animals, Billy Joel, Badfinger, Buddy Holly, The Byrds, The Cars, Charlie Daniels, George Jones, Hank Williams, Dwight Yokum, and more. One of Billy's favorites return.

Saturday, March 22, 2008 - The Everett Smithson Band

Don't miss the return of this great band. Zydeco, Swamp Blues at it's best. Everett has been a mainstay in the Western suburbs for ages. He was part of the long running band, The Alley Katz. His wife Kathy joined up and brought her dynamite vocals and acordion skills to add a new sound. Phil Schmid and Jeremy Johnson have been veterans of the Miinneapolis music scene forever, playing with Big George Jackson and others.

Friday, March 28, 2008 - Melissa Moser

Melissa Moser is a contemporary country singer and songwriter based in Minneapolis, MN. She fronts her own five piece band featuring a blend of original music, popular country cover songs and standards. For the past seven years, Melissa has performed at numerous clubs, festivals and private events throughout Central Minnesota and the Twin Cities with "The Radio Band" and "Silverado".

Saturday, March 29, 2008 - Mississippi Driftwood featuring Larry Hayes, John Beach & Tom Burns

Another "back by popular demand" band. What can I say about these guys. Larry Hayes was one of the founding members of The Lamont Cranston Band with his brother Pat (who everyone thinks is Lamont). He also had his own band in the early days of the Minnesota music scene; Larry Hayes & The Tonearms. John Beach was a mainstay in Willie Murphy & The Bumblebees for year. And, Tom Burns played with Lazy Bill lucas, The Joel Johnson Band, and more. This one is a can't miss show too.

Friday, April 11, 2008 - Red Dot Garage

Red Dot Garage always rock the house at Billy's whenever they play. They are one of Western Suburbs favorite bands. They packed the house on New Year's Eve. You'll likely hear everything from Van Morrison to Van Halen. Join us for their return.

Saturday, April 12, 2008 - Trailer Trash

Welcome to Honky-Tonk Heaven. Trailer Trash returns to Billy's for another great night. Trailer Trash "delivers energetic, straight-up versions of a wide variety of songs, most of them having some kind of country or roots base, but extending from that in several rock and pop directions." - Missy Nelson, No Depression: The Alternative Country (Whatever That Is) Magazine.

Friday, April 18, 2008 - Alex Wilson

Alex Wilson is the next hot blues-rock kid to hit the scene. Based in Milwaukee, WI, Alex is expanding his base and hitting the road. Everything from Beale Street blues to West Coast Swing to Texas grinding to Chicago grooves. Alex won the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) award in '07 for best blues band/artist. Alex is a great singer/songwriter, guitar player and over all entertainer. Plus, the gals will drool over this hot new talent.
